Itinerary

Day 1

Amritsar

Arrive at the designated reporting point and transfer to your hotel. In the evening, visit the Golden Temple, the holiest site of Sikhism.
Day 2

Amritsar

In the morning, pay tribute to the martyrs of the Jallianwala Bagh massacre. Later, visit the Attari Wagah Border for the daily flag-lowering ceremony, performed by the Indian security forces.
Day 3

Amritsar – Dalhousie

Travel to Dalhousie, a charming hill station named after Lord Dalhousie, the British Governor-General. Known for its pleasant climate and natural beauty, the town is surrounded by snow-capped mountains.
Day 4

Dalhousie – Khajjiar – Chamera Lake – Dalhousie

In the morning, head to Khajjiar, also known as "Mini Switzerland" for its Swiss-like landscapes. En route, visit the Sardar Ajit Singh Smarak, a memorial to the freedom fighter and uncle of Shaheed Bhagat Singh. Enjoy various activities like horse riding, paragliding, and zorbing at additional costs. Afterward, take a boat ride at the scenic Chamera Lake.
Day 5

Dalhousie – Dharamshala

Travel to Dharamshala in the morning. Upon arrival, visit the Bhagsunag Temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva, and the Dalai Lama’s Namgyal Monastery. Enjoy the ropeway ride, also known as Dharamshala Skyway. Visit the Dharamshala Stadium, surrounded by snow-capped mountains (subject to operation), and explore the Macleodganj Bazaar for shopping.
Day 6

Dharamshala

Visit the Jwalaji Temple, an ancient Shakti Peeth with a continuous sacred flame. Later, head to Aghanjar Mahadev Temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva. Spend the evening at leisure in Dharamshala.
Day 7

Dharamshala – Manali

Proceed to Manali. Arrive in the evening and explore the tourism capital of Himachal Pradesh.
Day 8

Manali – Solang – Rohtang – Manali

Visit Vashista Kund, known for its hot water springs. Then, head to Solang Valley for a ropeway ride (subject to operation) with panoramic views of glaciers and the snow-covered Himalayas. Later, visit the Atal Tunnel (subject to operation), the longest tunnel at 10,000 feet above sea level. Enjoy a scenic drive to the Rohtang Snow Point (subject to weather conditions), with free time to play in the snow. In the evening, enjoy a traditional Himachali folk dance. (Note: Rohtang Pass is closed for most of the year due to snow, and we visit a snow point permitted by Border Security Force.)
Day 9

Manali

In the morning, visit the ancient Hidimba Temple. The rest of the day is free for shopping at Mall Road.
Day 10

Manali – Shimla

Travel to Shimla, passing by the Pandoh Dam, Beas River, Sutlej River, Beas Sutlej Link Project, and Kullu Valley. Visit the Kullu Shawl Factory. Arrive in Shimla by evening.
Day 11

Shimla – Kufri – Shimla

Explore Kufri, known as the winter sports capital of Shimla. Enjoy activities at the Kufri Fun Campus at an additional cost. Visit the Indira Bungalow and Himalayan Zoo (subject to operation). In the evening, visit Mall Road, Scandal Point, and Shimla Church.
Day 12

Shimla – Departure from Chandigarh

In the morning, depart for Chandigarh Airport to board your flight or train back home. The tour concludes.

What is generally the size of a tour group ?
Generally the number of guest traveling varies depending on the destination. The average group size for World tour is between 40 to 47 and Indian tour is between 28 to 56. However, if a particular tour gets an overwhelming response or if it is a special tour like My Fair Lady or Second Innings tour then the group size may go beyond the aforesaid group size.

This tour has an age range of 12-70 years old, this means children under the age of 12 will not be eligible to participate in this tour. However, if you are over 70 years please contact us as you may be eligible to join the tour if you fill out G Adventures self-assessment form.
